This poem is about climate change and how it is affecting the earth. The poem gets explained from the earth’s perspective. It really shows how much bad we are doing to the earth and that we need to do something about it before it’s gone completely. It also gives examples of what we are doing like the quote “no more plastic”. That quote is the complete opposite of what we are doing right now, because everyone wants the fastest and easiest way out of things, and that’s what plastic is because it is easy to make and very useful and to be honest i don’t think our society could live without it. It also has so many down sides such as getting into aquatic wildlife and getting burnt which pollutes our air which is another quote at the end of the poem. “you are polluting my air”

Instead of a character I found interesting I am going to do a quote I found interesting.

A quote I found interesting is “So don’t stand around and mope” I found it interesting because I had never heard the word mope which I soon found out was like standing around being depressed so after I read the quote again it made so much more sense. The quote is very true because in this day and age lots of us stand around doing nothing waiting for it all to come to us when it never will if you do nothing.

A big message I took from this poem was that we are destroying our planet and I don’t think people understand how bad it is. I believe everyone needs to take a hard look at them self and see what they are doing. Everyone can help that by doing little things like turning the lights off more or biking to work instead of driving and a big one that lots of people have started to do is become meat free. Becoming meat free may sound hard but when you start to look in to it there are so many alternatives such as veggie burger, which is like a normal burger but the padie is made from veggies but look like a meat padie.

The challenges are very clear for the world. The world is geting beaten up by us every second, and we are not doing anything about it. The world shows its having a big challenge of pollution with the quote “Because you are polluting my air.” The world has many problems but I believe pollution is the worst because it kills so many humans and animals. It also kills plants and tree’s with are the main things that keep us breathing. Pollution makes the land muddy and poising the soil as well, there is nothing good about pollution. The only benefit is it makes thing easier for us and thats all that we want these days.

I believe the title “I AM EARTH” is a very good title because it tells us what the poam is about straight away. The title puts lots of enfises in it by having all capital letters and I think that it is good thing. I believe the title is good how it already is and dosn’t need any change.

I would recommend this poam to a farmer who is very old school and does things the way there dads and grandads farmed. This is because back then there wasn’t much worry about pollution and destroying the earth but now things have changed and its not how it used to be. Some examples of trends that have carried over are things like burning a pit full of plastic and dead cows and lots of scraps that are really bad for the earth and also burriing the plastic waist.
